PHOTOGRAPHER’S EXPERIENCE – STACEY
This is one of those ‘additionally’ special weddings because this time my main squeeze joined along on the fun. FUN – the entire day. When I first met Amy during a consultation the first thing I noticed was her kind smile. She told me about how they met and then their wedding day – which would include hints of Harry Potter details. My only thought when leaving was – this story and their wedding day to come is right up our alley – PLEASE let it all work out! Not too long later, my prayers were answered and I got to chat with Amy’s mom via email as the time went on. She was EXCELLENT and her personality in real life exceeded what I imagined. Now I knew where Amy received that kind heart. Months later, Ben and I made our way to The Barn at Rembert Farms. Weather was overcast pretty much the whole time, and no rain despite the forecast. Dan + his team at The Unforgettable Events were diligently working on the final touches for the decorations. The whole vision was incredible + we were impressed to say the least. They did all the floral arrangements as well as the arbor during the ceremony! We sat back and watched in awe since we still had time before shooting. The day started with the getting ready documentations and everyone was lax and ready for the big moment. The rings were of the first things photographed. Zoomed in on a spot underneath an overhang, and the already diffused light was divided just enough to bring the textures + details to life. The sparkle in her ring got me stoked for the rest of the day. I make a photo itinerary before every wedding according to the schedule and details given, so Ben + I used that and bounced off eachother making sure we got everything on the list. We did and much more – ending it with glow sticks and a dance party that Ben and I will never forget. Every single person that we saw attend the wedding was on that dance floor. My cheeks were sore the next day from all the laughing and my legs felt like jello. Ben and I love to dance, so yah…. we saw the opportunity and totally let loose. 😉
All the vendors are linked below my words – in case you’d be interested to check them out further! Then scroll on through – to another uniquely stunning wedding that we have had the honor to serve by creating visual imagery that will make this ONE DAY – LAST FOREVER. We love each and every one of our couples. {le sigh} But first, we’d like to add a little bit of something special. My words will end here, and Brandon + Amy’s words will begin. Read a little bit more about them and get ready to be inspired.

BRANDON + AMY
How did you first meet each other?
We first met at our new sales job at Naylor. Neither of us could have guessed that we would end up together. After all, Brandon thought I was an annoying Harry Potter fan and I thought Brandon was boring because, well, he described himself as boring. Even though we sat across from each other, we barely talked. Then, one day, we discovered we both liked the video game called Minecraft. Conversations went from “Good Morning” to “Did you know you could build an elevator from sticky pistons in the game!?!” We couldn’t stop talking, and one thing led to the other and now we are married! Two happy nerds in love.
Tell us ONE unique thing about your relationship.
Since we are in the south, we see lots of pickup truck drivers and lots of them do crazy things like driving over curbs or suddenly cutting you off. Whenever we see one do something crazy while we are driving, we say “I’m a truck!” in a funny voice and laugh instead of having road-rage!
What were the first things you noticed about one another?
Brandon thought Amy was annoying and Amy thought Brandon was boring.
What was the proposal like?
Amy thought it was just a regular day at her favorite place on the planet that she calls, “Harry Potter World” at Universal Studios. Brandon hadn’t eaten anything all day, and for some reason didn’t want to ride any rides once they got to Universal. Amy was curious as to why, for the first time, he was very interested in checking out all the stores in Diagon Alley, repeatedly, instead of going on rides. It was so strange, that she started asking if she had upset Brandon, and he had to keep saying “no, no, I’m fine!”
Little did she know, he was waiting for the photographer to arrive, and he was running late, {not that it’s a huge deal …. buuut it wasn’t Ben and I! haha} adding to the already anxious situation for Brandon. Finally the photographer made it. Amy and Brandon were walking by the stage in Diagon Alley, when Brandon hopped up onto the stage and started yelling, “Attention Everyone!”. Amy ran away embarrassed, not knowing what was going on. A crowd started gathering around the stage.
Brandon called her over and found he had no reason to be nervous because, before he could even ask the question, Amy ran over and hugged him and said yes! The crowd had grown by a lot and when Brandon officially proposed, everyone cheered when Amy said yes! Then they ran from place to place in the two Universal theme parks and took photos at all sorts of places, including places guests weren’t normally allowed. It was a blast! While this is a shortened version of the story, it truly was…The. Most. Epic. Proposal. Ever.
How long had you been dating when you became engaged? How long after you were engaged did you get married?
2 years plus an 8 month engagement
What are your biggest differences between one another?
He loves mornings and I despise mornings.
What is the first thing your spouse would buy if they won the lottery?
Brandon would buy me jewelry that I would eventually – but accidentally! – lose or break!
What charity or cause do each one of you and/or both of you strongly support/want to support?
Missionary Sam! (Through Greenhouse church)
I love this day. Forever. Thank you to the beautiful couple! Here are the links to vendors again in case it’s easier 😉
